1. Gricia Mezzemaniche
A beloved Roman recipe, Pasta alla Gricia is known as the precursor to carbonara. At Cucina Luca, we use mezzemaniche pasta for its ideal texture, allowing each ridged tube to trap the rendered fat of guanciale (cured pork cheek). Finished with a generous grating of aged pecorino romano and black pepper, this dish is creamy, salty, and robust, without a drop of cream.

2. Pappardelle White Ragu
This Tuscan-inspired dish uses wide pappardelle ribbons to hold a delicate white ragu. Ours is slow-cooked with minced pork shoulder, pancetta, white wine, and aromatic herbs. Unlike the tomato-rich Bolognese, this ragu is lighter in colour but deeply savoury in flavour.

3. Handmade Ravioli Ricotta
Handmade ravioli filled with a soft blend of ricotta and pecorino cheese and a hint of lemon zest. They’re served with an original take on the classic butter and sage, enhanced by dried plums and sautéed baby spinach. The contrast of the sweet plum with a creamy, slightly tangy filling offers a unique flavour profile.

4. Seafood Spaghetti
Spaghetti alle Vongole meets Frutti di Mare in this seafood showcase. Our version blends fresh prawns, calamari, and seasonal white fish in a house-made crustacean bisque. It’s creamy yet briny, with a whisper of chilli for warmth. The spaghetti is finished with fresh parsley and a dash of lemon zest for brightness.

5. Pasta Alla Norma
A classic Sicilian recipe served with mezzemaniche, blending the smoky taste of fried eggplant with rich tomato sauce and salty ricotta. A final touch of pecorino adds sharpness, bringing the dish together in a bold yet comforting way.
6. Pasta al Pesto
Inspired by Ligurian tradition, this dish features house-made trofie pasta tossed in a fragrant Genovese pesto. Made with fresh basil, nuts, Parmigiano-Reggiano, garlic, and Ligurian olive oil, the sauce clings beautifully to every twist of pasta.

7. Spaghetti Bolognese
A comfort classic with an Emilian heritage. Our Bolognese is made from a slow-cooked soffritto base, minced beef, pork, and guanciale, Italian tomatoes, and a touch of milk for softness. Served over al dente spaghetti, it’s layered, rich, and homely. A touch of Parmigiano completes the experience.

8. Handmade Lasagna Pasta
Our handmade lasagna is layered with fresh egg pasta sheets, a rich Bolognese ragù, homemade béchamel sauce, and a Parmigiano crust. Baked until golden and bubbling, each slice offers creamy, saucy, and meaty elements in harmony. It’s a crowd-pleaser year-round.
9. Handmade Gnocchi
Made fresh in-house, our potato gnocchi are airy and soft, never heavy. Depending on the day, we pair them with sauces like fresh basil pesto, a light tomato passata, or gorgonzola cream. Finished with micro herbs or grated cheese, depending on the season.

10. Zozzona Pasta
A variation from Rome’s cucina casareccia, Zozzona combines the richness of carbonara with the depth of amatriciana. Our version features rigatoni in a hearty blend of tomato sauce, egg yolk, pancetta, and pecorino. The result is a full-bodied, spicy, creamy pasta with complex depth.
11. Pecorara Pasta
Pecorara pasta is a beloved dish from Rome, known for its rich, satisfying flavours. It features tube-shaped pasta enveloped in a creamy sauce made with ricotta and pecorino cheese, gently seasoned with black pepper. Topped with crispy pancetta, this Roman favourite delivers a comforting balance of creaminess and savoury depth in every bite.
